Travel Stories That Reach Across Scandinavia
We experience destinations first-hand, tell their stories in our own voice and share our travel features with travellers, the travel industry and the media. We welcome partnerships with tourism organisations seeking to showcase the many different sides of their destinations.
Travel Stories That Reach Across Scandinavia
Independent Travel Journalism. First-Hand Experiences. Scandinavian Reach.
The Travel Club is an independent Scandinavian travel publication producing original editorial features about destinations, hotels, gastronomy and culture.
Our philosophy is simple: We Travel. We Experience. We Tell.
We travel to experience destinations first-hand, meet the people behind the stories and create engaging travel journalism in Swedish and English.
Our features reach travellers, travel industry professionals and media across Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland through our own publishing channels, direct industry distribution and complimentary editorial syndication.
We are currently planning our editorial travel programme for 2027, with particular interests in hotels, gastronomy and culture.

One Travel Feature. Three Routes to Scandinavian Audiences.
Every travel feature we produce has the potential to reach audiences through three complementary distribution channels – extending its visibility beyond our own website.

We Travel and Explore

We Experience Hotels, Food and Culture

We Tell Stories in Our Own Voice
The Places Behind the Stories
Hotels with Character
We stay at the hotels we write about, experiencing their atmosphere, service and the people who give each property its distinctive character.
Flavours and Encounters
From local ingredients to exceptional dining experiences, we explore the gastronomy of a destination and introduce the people behind its culinary traditions.
Culture Beyond the Surface
We seek out traditions, contemporary cultural life and everyday encounters that reveal the deeper character of a destination.
Beyond the Beaten Path
We highlight lesser-known places and distinctive experiences that deserve a place on the discerning traveller's map.

Our Stories Find New Life in The Travel Club Magazine
Selected travel features are brought together in The Travel Club Magazine, where stories about destinations, hotels, gastronomy and culture have room to develop and complement one another.
The magazine is published digitally, making its content easily accessible to both travellers and professionals throughout the Scandinavian travel industry.
We are also planning a printed edition for readers and partners who appreciate discovering travel stories in a more traditional format.
About Our Editorial Approach
Here we explain how we work with independent travel journalism, partnerships, travel expenses and republication.
How do you maintain your editorial independence?
We personally visit the places we write about and form our own opinions based on first-hand experiences.
An invitation or partnership never gives a host or partner the right to influence our editorial content, conclusions or publication decisions.
Can media outlets republish your articles and photographs free of charge?
Yes. We make selected articles and photographs available for complimentary republication in both digital and print media.
Please contact us first so that we can agree on the material, photo credits and practical publication arrangements.
What types of partnerships are you interested in?
We welcome discussions with tourism organisations and other destination partners who can help us discover destinations, meet local people and arrange meaningful editorial visits.
Such partnerships may facilitate research and travel logistics, but our editorial coverage always remains independent.
Do you charge for writing travel features?
No. We do not charge fees for editorial travel features.
However, we ask that actual expenses associated with an agreed editorial visit, such as travel and accommodation, are covered.
Where are your travel features published and distributed?
Our travel features are published on TheTravelClub.se and distributed through newsletters, social media and direct communication with professionals throughout the Scandinavian travel industry.
Selected stories may also appear in The Travel Club Magazine and be offered to media outlets for republication.
In which languages do you publish?
We publish our travel features in Swedish and English.
If you are interested in publication in other languages, we would be happy to discuss the possibilities.
Would You Like to Discuss an Editorial Visit?

Let Us Explore Your Destination
Do you represent a tourism organisation or another destination partner?
We would be delighted to hear from you about potential partnerships for our upcoming editorial trips.
We create independent travel features based on our own first-hand experiences. We do not charge for editorial publication, but we ask that agreed travel-related expenses, such as transport and accommodation, are covered.
